Insights
Extracted from your sources by AgentPRD.
Insights are atomic pieces of information that AgentPRD extracts from your sources. They are the building blocks of your PRDs — each one represents a single customer need, request, or notable statement.
Insight types
- Pain point — a problem users face. Signals unmet needs and friction in existing workflows.
- Feature request — a capability users want. Signals demand for new or improved functionality.
- Quote — verbatim customer words. The highest-signal type — customers speaking in their own words.
Confidence scores
Each insight has a confidence score reflecting how clearly it was stated in the source. Confidence scores are included in CSV exports but not shown in the UI.
Deduplication
Insights are deduplicated across sources using vector embeddings. When the same insight appears in multiple sources, the mention count increases rather than creating a duplicate. A higher mention count means stronger signal — the same theme surfacing across multiple customers or conversations.
Source excerpts
Each insight includes the exact passage from the source it was extracted from. This enables verbatim highlighting so you can always trace an insight back to its origin.
Using insights
- Review extracted insights on your organization's insights page.
- Link relevant insights to a project.
- Generate a PRD — every requirement will trace back to a real customer.
Filtering
Filter insights by type (pain point, feature request, quote), search by keyword, or filter by source origin to narrow down your results.
